John: "Our biggest messes come when we try to do something for God that we're convinced he can't do for himself."

Jake: "Then what do I do, just sit around and wait for God?"

So much of what we do is driven by our anxiety that God is not working on our behalf, that we have no idea of the actions that trust produces. Trusting doesn't make you a couch potato.
